Justin Martyr

Justin Martyr was a second-century philosopher-apologist who taught in Rome and died as a martyr. He lived when Christians faced accusations of atheism, immorality, and disloyalty, and when educated converts needed to relate Christ to Greek philosophy and Jewish Scripture.
